Over 100 years ago, four families from Wetaskiwin, Alberta, brought Lutheranism to the Vernon area. This weekend a 100 years later Rev.Lorne Manweiler, a descendant of these pioneers, who was born and raised in Vernon and who is presently the pastor of Zion Evangelical Church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, returned home to St. John's Evangelical Church to share his musical talents. He dazzled the audience at an Organ Recital on Friday November 11.
